Racha Island (Racha Yai, Raya) is located 12 kilometers south of Phuket and is one of the best places for diving, snorkeling and beach holidays in the vicinity of Phuket.
The boat ride takes only about 30 minutes and you are already in the arms of the hospitable Bungalow Bay, where the water is always calm, with virtually no waves. The island’s convenient location has made it one of the most popular places for snorkeling all year round.
Also, you will see many dive boats here. This is where tourists are brought who decide to try diving for the first time in Phuket . Clear water and shallow depths allow scuba diving for both trained divers and those trying their hand for the first time.
In the area of the island of Racha there is a very rich underwater world and many beautiful corals; it is no coincidence that sea fishing usually takes place around this island .
The island has several small bays and 2 large beaches: Bungalo Bay and Siam bay. All tourists, as a rule, are brought to Bungalo Bay, since there is a special pontoon for mooring. But after spending 10 minutes and walking through the palm groves of the island, you will find yourself on the almost deserted Siam Bay beach. In addition to the beaches themselves, where you will spend almost the whole day, you will be taken by boat to the rocky shore, where the water is clearer and there are more fish, where you can snorkel directly from the boat.
